アレルギー・食事制限

Allergies & diets

Japanese packaged food must label eight major allergens. Halal-certified or vegan ekiben are still rare, so check the label every time.

Pork and alcohol hide in places: meat extracts (エキス), lard, gelatin and mirin show up in sauces and simmered dishes. When in doubt, ask with the card.
