Keikyu, which links Haneda Airport with Tokyo and Yokohama, signed friendship agreements with the metros serving Taipei's Songshan and Taoyuan airports. Two trains with special headmarks and Taiwan posters run until late February 2027.

On 3 November 2026 Keikyu signed friendship agreements with Taipei Metro and Taoyuan Metro, the two subway operators that serve Taiwan's main airports: Taipei Metro reaches Songshan Airport, and Taoyuan Metro links Taipei Station with Taoyuan Airport. The companies plan joint promotions to bring more travellers between Japan and Taiwan.

To mark the agreements, from late November 2026 to late February 2027 two Keikyu trains will carry commemorative headmarks — one for each metro — and the inside of the cars will be filled with posters of sights in Taiwan. Taipei Metro will also run a train with a headmark for the agreement.

Keikyu has a long friendship with Taiwan Railway, dating from 2015, with wrapped trains on both sides. It notes that visitor numbers from Taiwan reached a record in August 2026.

For visitors

  • Keikyu is one of the two rail links from Haneda Airport, with trains to Shinagawa and Yokohama.
  • Keikyu hasn't published which runs the two trains will work — you'll see them by chance on the line rather than on a set timetable.
  • Flying from Taipei Songshan to Haneda? You can ride Taipei Metro to the airport at one end and Keikyu from it at the other.
